Question 1

How often should I have my trees pruned/ Trimmed?

Accepted Answer

Trees can thrive without pruning! However, a little care helps ensure they coexist safely in our vibrant urban spaces, making our daily lives even more enjoyable. 🌳 While trees in the wild thrive without pruning, your properties safety and value can benefit from extra care! Our goal when pruning is to enhance the health, vitality, and beauty of your trees, helping them flourish even in an unfamiliar urban or residential environment.

Question 2

Is tree Pruning/ Trimming safe for mature trees?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when performed by trained professionals like ours, pruning can improve safety and health without harming mature trees. We specialize in noninvasive pruning. We strive to make smaller more surgical cuts on your mature trees so they can easily compartmentalize and heal while still supporting a large mature canopy.

Making large cuts on mature trees is never ideal. It exposes the large tree to pests, disease, and rot that can lead to serious and expensive complications later on.

Should I top my trees?

Accepted Answer

We strongly advise against topping trees. This question frequently arises when customers find their trees have grown larger than anticipated. Topping not only significantly compromises the overall health of the tree, but it also substantially heightens the risk of catastrophic failure in the future. When a tree is topped, it produces rapid growth shoots known as epicormic growth. These new shoots possess inadequate structural integrity and attachment to the tree. The combination of their accelerated growth and poor attachment leads to a scenario where they quickly become large and are prone to breaking and falling.
